3 – 2 – 1 – Mein erstes Boot
Ich war zwar schon einige Monate auf der Suche nach einem passenden Boot, nur leider wurde sehr viel Schrott angeboten. Ich wollte es auch vermeiden, nochmals umsonst 350 km durch Deutschland zu fahren, nur weil der Verkäufer scheinbar den Zustand seines eigenen Bootes nicht kennt. Ich sage nur DELAMINATION! Dieser Kat- es war ein Tornado, war eigentlich schon lange tot. Er stand drei Jahr in freier Natur, ohne Plane und mit Wasser vollgesogen. Jeder weiß, was mit Wasser passiert wenn es gefriert- ja, genau, es dehnt sich aus. Jedenfalls war es nicht möglich, die Rümpfe zu betreten. Allein das entstehende Geräusch hörte sich grausam an. Man stelle sich eine frische Vasa Knäckebrot-Packung vor, die man langsman mit der Faust zerdrückt! Diesen Kat hätte ich mir noch nicht mal schenken lassen wollen.
Vor 8 Tagen entdeckte ich den oben abgebildeten Katamaran bei eBay, ganz durch Zufall. Es ist ein Hobie Cat 18 Formula Baujahr 1996. Bei diesem Katamaran hatte ich mehr Glück. Der Verkäufer kam sehr ehrlich am Telefon rüber, er hat mir gleich alle Unterlagen zugeschickt und auch weitere Bilder. So konnte ich mir einen guten Eindruck vom Boot verschaffen. Zu dem Boot gehörte ein Slipwagen und ein Trailer mit Kiste für das Zubehör. Der Trailer ist ein Eigenbau, dafür aber absolut perfekt gebaut, aber leider vier mal so schwer wie der Kat selbst. Egal, der Trailer wird sicherlich nicht oft bewegt werden.
Die letzten 24 Stunden waren mein Horror, 1000 Gedanken gingen mir durch den Kopf. Was ist wenn ich die Auktion verliere oder der Preis über mein Limit steigt? Ich muss dazu sagen, das die Formula Version recht selten zu finden ist. Formula bedeutet: höherer Mast, mehr Segelfläche und zusätzliche Ausleger (ich nenne sie immer Bierbänke). Na, jedenfalls hatte ich Glück und gewann die Auktion. Juhuuuu!
Eine Woche später starteten wir einen Roadtrip nach Bärenstein, nicht das bei Dresden, sondern direkt im schönen Erzgebirge. Da stand er nun und sah genauso aus wie auf den Bildern. Wir haben fix die Formalitäten erledigt und den Kat für die Fahrt gesichert. Der Verkäufer ist übrigens eine sehr netter Typ, er gab uns zusätzlich einige Ersatzteile mit auf dem Weg und 10 Euro für zwei Bier 🙂
